Students and Whanu planting out Titrangi Station

Planting Uawanui was developed by myself and others to help restore riverbanks around the region for betterment of waterways and stop erosion. Follow ups and lead ins were taught at school and planting was the end result. Students were engaged especially outdoors and began to see importance of planting and caring for the environment.
Worked with Haiti Farms and the community to plant 3000+ trees and shrubs.
Planting beside the school as well. Aspects around introduced species and native species taught.

Hands on opportunities as well as written and research skills promoted.
