Research Projects

Here students are researching their own birds of interest from an overall class study on endangered species of New Zealand Birds. They are using internet and trying to translate text into their own words in simple meaningful language for them to understand. Avoidance of Wikipedia has been encouraged greatly.

Identifying areas of interest and having technology handy engaged students and gave tasks more relevance, meaning and ownership.
